About

Two-time GRAMMY winner and reigning CMA and ACM Female Vocalist Carrie Underwood returned with her second album, Carnival Ride, on October 23rd!
She sat down with CMT's Paul McGuire at the Palais Royale in Toronto for a one-on-one interview. Listen to the full interview under the 'audio' tab and catch some exclusive video of Carrie and Paul under the 'video' tab.

Underwood went from Oklahoma college student to winning American Idol to selling over six-million copies of her debut release ! Since it's November 2005 “Some Hearts” spent a remarkable 27 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, holding that position across multiple weeks in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

The first single from Carnival Ride, So Small, is already in the Country Music Top 5 after 6 weeks

Carrie chose the name of the album from a line in one of her new songs. She explains, “You step onto this ride called life, and it’s a crazy thing you don’t know anything about, but you get on it anyway. You do what you can to lean different directions to try and get it to go where you want it to go, but you can’t stop it – it just keeps moving. That’s why Carnival Ride works as my album title, because it describes the wonderful craziness that I’ve been through over the past couple years.”
