A Westlock man is facing firearms related charges after a Sunday morning traffic stop.
RCMP stopped a truck on Highway 2 near Morinville, just after 4:00am. During the stop, a shotgun and handgun, both loaded, were allegedly found in the cab. The handgun was within reach of the driver.
Police now say Dusty Jordan Sand, 28, has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of property obtained by crime, transport of a loaded firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
He is scheduled to appear in a Morinville court on Wednesday, February 10. (scb)
