Monsters vs Aliens Movie Review.....

Posted 11/27/2009 3:44:00 AM
The other night - I got the opportunity with my sweetie to watch Monsters vs Aliens - now on dvd.  This was a very funny movie and I loved it.  It is a great movie for the entire family and with Christmas just around the corner - this would make a great gift.  Here is the trailer for Monsters vs Aliens........

I give this movie - 4 Slurpees (Sugar Free Ones) out of 5.  It had a great cast of voices and was very funny from start to end.  It is sometimes rare to find good family movies.  I highly recommend getting the family together for movie night - a little pizza and the dvd Monsters vs Aliens.  A definate family hit.  Great movie.

Quick Question Wednesday.......

Posted 11/25/2009 10:11:00 PM
So on this Quick Question Wednesday I am thinkin about everything Christmas........WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS MEMORY AND WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST THIS HOLIDAY SEASON.  For me it is simple - spending time with my sweetie.  Been with my angel two years this December and has made me a better man and for that I am so thankful I get to spend my whole life with her. A very special memory for me was last year - I just had moved out of my parents place and moved in with Allison.  It was my first Christmas not at home and was a little bummed out.  I remember how Allison went out of her way to make it our place from everything from decorating with me to the Christmas tree to watching Christmas movies with me.  It was something I will never forget - Christmas morning waking ...

Christmas is a month away.......

Looking at the calendar - it got me thinkin.  It is only a month to Christmas and was thinking about how busy the malls are getting.  It seems like every year - a day after Halloween, the malls have everything Christmas out.  Usually I am done my shopping by the 1st of December but this year I am a little behind the eight ball.  I should be done in the next few weeks.  I hate being in the busy malls and for me - I am a guy.  I know what I want and I go in and get it.  So I wanted to know today if you have started your shopping and your thoughts on the holiday season.  What do you look forward to the most when it comes to the Christmas season???

When confetti runs out during Yankee victory parade, workers toss files, documents

Posted 11/13/2009 7:54:00 AM
NEW YORK - New York City office workers who got carried away during the Yankees victory parade Friday apparently began tossing files and documents out the window when they couldn't get their hands on confetti.

Auditor Damian Salo attended the Manhattan parade honouring the baseball World Series championships. He tells The New York Post he found all sorts of personal financial documents in the mountains of shredded paper tossed from skyscrapers as the players rode up Broadway.

They included pay stubs, banking data, law firm memos and even some court files.

The founder of one financial firm, Alan Sarroff, says his company reprimanded one "overzealous" employee for throwing records out the window that should have been shredded.

Ticker-tape parades on Broadway are a New York tradition.
