With everyone in attendance in wearing black in solidarity, you knew that this years Golden Globes was going to have a much different feel from years past. The awards took a backseat to the #Metoo movement, and with almost every single actress and actor voicing their support in some way. Inequality and injustice towards women, not only in Hollywood, was no longer going to be tolerated.
And when Oprah stepped up to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award, the first Black woman EVER to get the honor, you knew she was going to touch everyone in the room, and everyone watching across the world.
Damn rights, Oprah.
