Okay, I’m about as vegan as I am the Queen of England…but I’ve got a number of friends and family members that live that life and more options are always a good thing! Plus, this place looks DELISH!
Cinnaholic, a California-based, fully customizable Vegan cinnamon roll bakery has recently penned a deal for massive Canadian expansion that will see them opening 70 stores North of the border. The first is slated to open right here in Edmonton in the Spring of 2018! Pretty cool, hey?
So what is Cinnaholic all about? Well according to their website:
We’re not your typical cinnamon roll shop. In addition to being 100% vegan, we offer more than just your average ‘Old Fashioned’ roll. We have a variety of different flavors that are waiting to be explored, all made with the highest quality ingredients to tickle your taste buds. All of our products are: Dairy & lactose-free, egg-free and cholesterol-free.
Vegan or not…one look at these rolls and you’ll be ready for that store to open!
So if those pictures haven’t sold you…how ’bout this?! While the first Cinnaholic opened back in 2009, in 2014 the shop was featured on the entrepreneurial TV show, Shark Tank!
One of the owners, Shannon Radke told vegnews.com about the expansion,
“I am so excited to see our vegan cinnamon roll concept expand to Canada. Cinnaholic has experienced a massive growth over the past few years, and expanding into new territories shows that vegan companies are getting more and more traction. There’s no denying veganism is on the rise.”
