The Marvel machine keeps on rolling as movie fans flocked to the theatre this weekend to see Thor: Ragnarok. The 3rd installment in the Thor franchise made $121 million in North America taking its worldwide box office total to $427 million!
Thor: Ragnarok finished the weekend with the 4th biggest opening of 2017 finishing only behind Beauty and the Beast ($174.5 million), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ($146.5 million), and It ($123.4 million).
As with all Marvel superhero movies, it’s good vs. bad. In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor takes on Hela, the Goddess of Death. It’s a race against time for Thor, who is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his hammer, to get back to Asgard to stop Hela from destroying his homeland and the Asgardian civilization. Along the way, the gets help from The Hulk, a sometimes good, sometimes bad Loki, Valkyrie, and Heimdall.
I have been patiently waiting to see Thor: Ragnarok for what seems like forever. My excitement was even more piqued when I read a review that said this:

I’m not the only one who loved Thor: Ragnarok. Fans and critics are giving it great reviews, and it currently has a 93% Fresh Rating on Rotten Tomatoes!
#ThorRagnarok is even better the second time around. Easily one of the most fun and entertaining MCU films to date.

#ThorRagnarok was easily the best of the three. Cate Blanchett as Hela might be one of my favorite Marvel villains.

Having watched #ThorRagnarok this weekend, I can safely say it is one of the best marvel films yet.

Thor: Ragnarok has done a very good job of continuing the build-up for Avengers: Infinity War, which is set for release on May 4, 2018. There’s one more Marvel release before then though so let the countdown to February 16, 2018 begin!
