“Our Love Story Can Be Yours” That’s the headline of the Kijiji ad, posted yesterday, that is quickly going viral for all the right reasons. Here’s how the ad starts
“In 1967 I went overseas for service and left my lovely wife at home in Edmonton. When I returned she had fallen out of love with me. I left the Edmonton area and moved here to the peace country. I missed her like no tomorrow and eventually convinced her to return to me and we made our home here.
After several successful businesses and over 45 years together my beautiful wife will be leaving me again.
We made our Section into a home that we loved and cherished together for over 45 years through the good times and the bad.
As her last wishes we want to pass this over to another couple who deserves this beauty and will love it as much as we did.
My children are very well off and have no dispute or concern and respect our wishes.
My niece will be receiving and delivering emails to us at the hospital where she is living her last days.
We choose to read each an every offer sent to us and pick someone whom very much deserves this piece of land.”
“The home quarter has been recently subdivided off into a 30 acre parcel, it has a 2500 foot square foot home complete with a large attached garage.
We have many outbuildings a large garden, barn and fenced pasture for cattle or horses.
A large shop and a small shop as well although the small one is ready to be torn down.
The property is located within 20 mins driving time from downtown Grande Prairie.”
They have only posted a map to the property, but no pictures because they want to maintain a bit of privacy.
“Time permitting we will read each letter and email as we receive them.
Our wish is that a couple that has most dignified and true story of what the want out of life and what they mean to each other will be more than likely given possession of our 30 acre home parcel after my wife passes on.
We will consider all letters an offers from others but our wish is a couple such as ourselves will live their lives here and enjoy it and each other as much as we have. That will make my wife the happiest.”
