I’m sure you’ve been there before…you’re waiting to get on your flight and they ask if anyone is willing to take the next available flight because your flight was overbooked? Usually, someone steps forward and takes a travel credit/night in a hotel and everything is good, but not on this flight! Warning…these videos are really disturbing.
“Please share this video. We are on this flight. United airlines overbooked the flight. They randomly selected people to kick off so their standby crew could have a seat. This man is a doctor and has to be at the hospital in the morning. He did not want to get off. We are all shaky and so disgusted. #unitedairways” says Audra D. Bridges who posted on Facebook.
In their first official statement after these videos got out…United spokesperson Charlie Hobart said
” Flight 3411 from Chicago to Louisville was overbooked. After our team looked for volunteers, one customer refused to leave the aircraft voluntarily and law enforcement was asked to come to the gate. We apologize for the overbook situation.”
But now that these disgusting videos have gone viral, United CEO Oscar Munoz made this statement.
