Carrie Fisher was not only an incredibly talented actress and author…but she also never stopped her tireless support for women’s rights and mental health causes.
The icon, most famous for playing “Princess Leia” in the Star Wars cinematic universe battled many demons over the course of her life and tragically passed away yesterday, December 27th, at the age of 60.
Thanks to her strength, beauty, wit and passion, Carrie’s legacy will live on. The video below made me laugh…and nearly made me cry. There’s perhaps no better example of the true legend that is Carrie Fisher than her 2005 roast of George Lucas when The American Film Institute awarded him their Life Achievement Award. Check it out below!
You’ll be missed, Princess.
