The city is looking at lowering speed limits on residential streets from 50km/h to 40km/h in hopes of making residential streets a little safer.
There are some pro’s and con’s for this for sure. I grew up in Airdrie (just north of Calgary) where the residential speed limits were and still are 30km/h. Yeah, that may feel slow but I really do think it made the streets safer. So I think lowering the limit here in Edmonton to 40 isn’t a bad idea. What do you think?
