If anyone would understand the true trivia prowess of Canadians it would be Sudbury, Ontario’s own Alex Trebek.
It appears that the show Trebek hosts, Jeopardy, is limiting Canadian residents from taking the show’s online test to become a contestant! While I’d like it’s because we are too damn smart…it’s apparently due to Canada’s online privacy regulations.
In a quote shared from an email in this article from thestar.com, a Jeopardy spokesperson said the situation may only be temporary.
“As international laws governing how information is shared over the internet are ever-changing and complex, we are currently investigating how we can accept registrations from potential Canadian contestants.”
