Having grown up in a household where her TV Show, Reba, made many an appearance, I for one am very excited that Reba McEntire has signed a new record deal with Nash Icon Music, a joint venture between Big Machine Label Group and Cumulus Media.
Reba teased some big news last week, which had rumours of a new album or perhaps a return for the tv show mentioned above circling on the internet. While we don’t know the exact details of the new deal, as the flagship artist for the new venture, Reba has recorded eleven new songs for an upcoming release!
“We’ve got the greatest writers in the world here in Nashville. It’s such a huge thrill for me to have this outlet to get these songwriters’ stories out to the public,” Reba told Billboard. “We’ve got happy, sad, slow, fast songs. We’ve got a drinking song in there, and for the first time in a long time, we’ve got a to the heart and soul love song. I don’t have many of those, so I’m really tickled.”
I’d be willing to guess you’re tickled as well! It’s been almost 40 years since Reba first entered a recording studio back in 1975 and as she approaches her sixtieth birthday she’s still got all the fire inside to match that famous red hair. Reba’s last big hit was 2010’s “Turn On the Radio”, check out the video below!
