It’s been five straight Octobers in which we’ve seen a new cd from Toby Keith hit store chelves. While it may not come out this month, we have gotten word from Keith on a new album!
Toby’s 18th studio album, and follow up to 2013’s Drinks After Work, will be called 35 MPH Town. No release date was given for the album but Toby did unveil the lead single! “Drunk Americans”, available for purchase here, sounds like yet another hit from Keith! He thinks so too, as you’ll see in the clip below, “Drunk Americans” is the only song on the upcoming album that Keith did not write. In fact, 35 MPH Town was finished when Toby decided he had to return to the studio and cut the song, penned by Brandy Clark, Bob DiPiero and Shane McAnally.
With yet another album on the way, and another tour underway…it’s no surprise that Keith was named “Country’s Cash King” after pulling in 65 Million dollars en route to ranking #1 on Forbe’s 2014 list of highest paid country musicians.
