Garth Brooks has been one of the top-selling acts since the 90’s. As in, he’s sold 69.6 million albums since 1991 just in the United States alone. He’s great a busting through all sorts of music related records and reaching new levels of success that no other artist has seen before. But now, his success could potentially get even bigger. Garth plans to shatter a record currently held by U2, as the biggest touring act of all time!
It’s not going to be easy, but this is Garth we’re talking about here. The attendance record from U2’s “360° Tour” reached 7.3 million, and Mr. Brooks is off to a pretty good start on beating that record. If he can average 150 thousand tickets sold in 100 markets, he would more than DOUBLE U2’s attendance record. Garth’s dates in Chicago last month sold more than 180 thousand. I guess we’ll find out in about 3 years when this World Tour wraps up if he reaches his goal. Personally, I think he’ll blow U2’s record right out of the water!
Garth’s new album “Man Against Machine” will hit stores and GhostTunes November 11.
