If I had sat down and though really hard about it, and I can assure you I haven’t until just now, Brantley Gilbert might be the last country musician that I’d figure is also an ordained minister…but that just so happens to be the case!
The singer, who turns 30 in January, played a music festival in Mobile, Alabama over the weekend and after his set Brantley officiated the wedding of Brianna Tolbert and Colby Jerkins. The couple, who won the opportunity via a local radio station said that Gilbert handled the situation very professionally, aside from maybe the leather vest he threw on on top of his customary white robe.
Brantley also just recently scored another top ten single with “Small Town Throwdown” feat. Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett from his Gold certified album Just As I Am, which also became his first #1 Country album after it’s release in May of this year.
