Orange Peach doesn’t only sound like a delicious smoothie combination, it was nearly the name of your favourite band as well.
“I remember like it was yesterday.” Brian Kelley told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Music Blog. “We lived together for two years in Nashville and were hanging out in the hall and decided to take this music thing seriously and wanted to represent where we came from. Orange Peach was an early suggestion, then it got moved to Florida Georgia Line. We’re proud of that name. It totally represents us both.”
Can you imagine? Would the biggest song in country music history have been as successful if “Cruise” came from Orange Peach?!
The next step for Florida Georgia Line will be following up the success of the their first album, Here’s to the Good Times. The duo’s sophomore cd, Anything Goes, is set for release October 14th. “Sun Daze” was just released for download as the second single from the album here, alongside “Dirt” which became Florida Georgia Line’s 6th #1!
