A letter came in the mail today from the bank I had my mortgage through. I just sold my condo a couple weeks ago and finally all the paperwork and bank stuff is done. In this letter from the bank, they explained my mortgaged was overpaid when it was paid out and here’s a cheque for the balance. Sweet! Money! I look at the cheque, and it’s for a whopping $0.03.
I absolutely appreciate their honesty and correcting the mistake, but didn’t it just cost a lot more than 3-cents for the cheque and the stamp? Heck, it’ll cost me more than 3-cents to go to the bank to deposit it. Do I even bother?
Something to ponder.
