Miranda Lambert could be headed to the big screen

Trey Fanjoy has worked with Miranda Lambert before, having directed a number of her music videos including “The House that Built Me”, “Over You”, “Automatic” and Lambert’s latest, “Somethin’ Bad” with Carrie Underwood, which you can see below.

Most of Miranda’s videos end up feeling like mini-movies and according to this Deadline article, Lambert’s next project will be a movie, but far from mini.  Fanjoy is currently co-writing the script for a film called Something in the Water and has apparently recruited her pal, Miranda, as part of the project.

Lambert would play one of the five female leads from different generations to challenge their men in a bass fishing competition.  Fanjoy describes the project being a mixture of Steel Magnolias and Bridesmaids.  Sounds like that may be right in Miranda’s wheelhouse!

This wouldn’t be Lambert’s first acting gig either, in addition to her own videos, Miranda played an up and coming singer who is attacked on an episode of Law & Order: SVU in 2012.
