Blake Shelton back at #1

/ CISN Country

At the very least, breakfast in bed may be in order, as Miranda Lambert’s Platinum was knocked from it’s perch at the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart by none other than her husband, Blake Shelton.

Blake’s Based on a True Story, released March 26th, 2013, jumped up from the twelfth spot to return to top of the chart for the first time since the week of June 22nd, 2013, which wrapped up it’s five week run at #1.  The 13 month, 2 week span becomes the longest gap ever between stints at #1 on the chart.  Previously that mark was held by Waylon Jennings’ Greatest Hits which spent 6 months and 3 weeks away from the #1 spot before returning in 1980.

While Miranda is out for a few dates in support of Jason Aldean on his Burn It Down stadium series, Blake continues the 2014 leg of his Ten Times Crazier tour!  ”My Eyes” is the current single from Based on a True Story, check it out below!
