Between releasing hit after hit, touring, marriages and babies, Lady Antebellum shows no signs of slowing down. Especially with their announcement of a new album coming out this September. It will be called “747” and the trio is thrilled about it’s upcoming release.
“Bartender” was the first release off the forthcoming album, and their fastest rising single to date. The group chose the album title based on the music. Hillary Scott stated in a press release, “We unanimously knew that our album title had to be 747. The track itself has this pushing, driving spirit about it that sums up our attitude right now. We are pushing ourselves as a band and as songwriters … taking ourselves out of our comfort zone and not taking ourselves too seriously. There’s an urgency and an energy to it that we’ve never released before.”
Dave Haywood adds, “We had the opportunity to write with some new songwriters and really dig for outside songs that were songs we wish we’d written. As we took them into the studio, we changed our approach and challenged ourselves to try some new things that were outside of what we’d done before.”
Lady A is fired up about this new album and ready to get those songs out there. “747” will hit stores on September 30.
