Garth Brooks’ Ireland Shows All Cancelled

/ CISN Country

Garth Brooks planned on playing 5 shows in Ireland in a couple weeks, but those shows have now been cancelled. Dublin City Council decided to cancel 2 shows¬†in Croke Park because all 5 would violate a city ordinance.¬†Garth’s response? “It’s all or nothing!”

Yesterday the company in charge of the shows stated, “It is with great regret that Aiken Promotions today announce that the five concert Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event at Croke Park has been cancelled. No concerts will take place. The ticket return process will be outlined tomorrow. Aiken Promotions have exhausted all avenues regarding the staging of this event. We are very disappointed for the 400,000 fans who purchased tickets for the Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event.”

Garth said having to cancel 2 shows would be an impossible decision. “To choose which shows to do and which shows not to do would be like asking to choose one child over another.”

The superstar has a press conference scheduled for tomorrow at 10am MDT, where fans are hoping he’ll announce a world tour. Fans can watch the conference at garthbrooks.com
