Brad Paisley’s new album gets a name

/ CISN Country

Make it an even ten studio albums from superstar Brad Paisley.

We’ve been hearing about the follow up to 2013′s Wheelhouse for quite some time now, with Brad using the working title, Thoughts from a Country Bumpkin.  The release date was announced a couple of weeks ago as August 26th and will coincide with an appearance on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series on August 29th!

Well we now have a name.  In an interview with Billboard magazine, Brad revealed Moonshine in the Trunk as the name of the new album.  Brad has now also been able to give his tour, which starts today by the way, a name as well!  ”You should see our trucks – it’s 10 white semis” Paisley said, “I’m tempted to take a Sharpie and write, ‘Brad Paisley World Tour’ on the front of it. They’ve been asking me for weeks, and I keep going, ‘I haven’t named the album yet.’”

I’m curious as to why he had to wait for the name of the album, but the Country Nation World Tour begins tonight in Philadelphia and wraps up this September in Washington.  Randy Houser, Charlie Worsham and Leah Daniels will ride shotgun on the tour with Brad.  To this date, only one Canadian show was announced, July 2nd in Toronto, but a full list of shows can be found on Brad’s website!

We’re still waiting on the music video for the lead single “River Bank”, so for now check out the official lyric video below!
