I have a friend or two that can tell the story of singing “I Hope You Dance” at the top of their lungs in front of a mirror into a hair brush microphone as a youth. Perhaps you have a memory of something similar…
Willing to admit it or not, it will soon be time to make some new memories with Lee Ann Womack as she is due for her first new album since 2008’s Call Me Crazy. Due for release in September, Womack tasked her husband, producer-publisher Frank Liddell, to record the album. The unnamed project will be Lee Ann’s first since signing with Sugar Hill Records.
Speaking of the record to CMT, Lee Ann said “When we started this record, Frank and I promised each other we would only cut songs that we absolutely loved for no reason other than we loved them very much. No other factors, and I think that freedom really inspired us.”
