Kip Moore’s upcoming second studio release Smoke, originally slated to hit store shelves April 29th, has been delayed until this summer. No reason was given for the delay, but for fans of Kip’s this could actually be good news.
Moore told thecountryvibe.com that the project can now evolve even further before the release saying, “It could still shift, we now know exactly when the record’s comin’ out and there still is time to change it up. So I’ve still been writing a lot of stuff that I’m starting to really, really like, so it might change again.”
We’ve already heard the lead single from his upcoming album, as “Young Love” was released in the fall of 2013. Kip says to expect the next track to be released in a couple of weeks, saying about “Dirt Road”, “It’s going to throw people for a loop because the title is misleading about how the song’s gonna sound.”
As you wait patiently, check out the short but sweet performance of “Somethin’ Bout a Truck” from the ACM Awards this past weekend!
