Hollywood Marriages are some of the most heavily scrutinized relationships in the world. From Kim Kardashian‘s 72 day marriage to Boston Celtics power forward, Kris Humphries, to Gwyneth Paltrow‘s very recent “conscious uncoupling” from Coldplay front man and husband of 10 years, Chris Martin, it is quite obvious that being in the spotlight presents a number a marital challenges.
It’s no surprise then that two of country music’s hottest stars, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, are subject to the same rumors and attention. Miranda Lambert attributes her marriage’s continued success to peer support and and great role models.
“In other parts of the entertainment world, it sometimes seems like marriage is so disposable. But country has some enduring marriages — Johnny and June, George and Nancy, Faith and Tim. I’m thankful we have those role models. I feel like our peers are rooting for us. They’re holding us up.” said Miranda in a recent interview with People Country.
It seems as though Lambert and Shelton have been at the mercy of the rumor mill for the majority of their 3 year long marriage. Whether it’s fighting off rumors of Shelton’s unfaithfulness or squashing reports that Miranda’s songs may be revealing clues about an unhappy marriage, the couple remains steady and grounded.
“At some point, you calm down,” she said. “I’m happy. I’m more settled. I’ve put down roots.”
Miranda’s new album “Platinum” is set for release in early June. Check out her latest single “Automatic” below:
